Kristan Designs
Cafe Una Notte

President Bill Clinton helped Rachael raise $200,000 for her Yum-o! charity during an exclusive meal for 70 guests this week in Manhattan. Five teenage chefs from across the country manned the kitchen in the biggest challenge of their lives: Open their own restaurant, design the menu, and prepare a full dinner for guests including Bobby Flay, Mario Batali and the former president!

"We came up with the idea of opening a special pop-up restaurant so that we could provide a group of cooks and our viewers at home a glimpse into what it's like to run a kitchen," Rachael says, adding she hopes this becomes an annual event.

Rachael's producers selected the young cooks and brought them to New York to transform a restaurant into Cafe Una Notte, or, Cafe for One Night. She also enlisted the help of her design buddy Kristan Cunningham to makeover the space for the event.

Catch all of the star-studded moments during Rachael's hour-long episode from Cafe Una Notte Wednesday. May 7 including her interview with Bill Clinton!

Ten Firehouses Selected As 'Spruce Up' Contest Winners

Firehouse.com News - In April, 20 firehouses in 10 cities were chosen as finalists for the Maxwell House/HGTV "Spruce Up Your Firehouse" contest.

Each department submitted a photo essay in March explaining why their firehouse is in need of a makeover and photos of what needs the most help.

From the finalists, there was one winner from each of the 10 cities, which included: Atlanta, Buffalo, Chicago, Cincinnati, Cleveland, Detroit, Orlando, Philadelphia, Tampa and Washington, D.C.

The winners of the contest, announced May 22, receive $10,000 and help from Kristan Cunningham, host of HGTV's "Design on a Dime" show. The remodeled results will be revealed to the departments' communities in June.
